Osler acknowledges the Kabi Kabi Peoples, the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we are located and pays respect to their Elders past and present.

We also acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and recognise the enduring connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to lands, waters, cultures and communities. We acknowledge that these lands have never been ceded and honour the continuing cultures, knowledges and contributions of First Peoples across Australia.

We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present and extend that respect to all First Peoples.

Where contemporary individuals are identifiable, appropriate informed consent should be obtained before their name, image, story or other personal material is published. Where material has broader family, community or cultural significance, appropriate cultural permissions should also be sought from the relevant Traditional Owners, community, family or cultural authority.

Historical and archival material should be used with care and with consideration of its provenance, cultural context and any restrictions or sensitivities associated with its publication.
